Is there anyone NOT drooling over YSL's $1590 lattice shoes? With all the hub these shoes made at New York and Paris fashion week, all we could do is wait for the knock-offs. Of course Topshop didn't let us down on that note, but we all knew they wouldn't dare let us down again.
Even if I had an extra $1590 (which I don't, thank you NYU), these babies have been sold at Saks as soon as we crawled out of our Fashion Week induced daze. Apparently, net-a-porter has inked a deal with YSL and will soon be carrying the shoes exclusively.
But for me, the copies just aren't making the cut. The replications by Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, and the like are more reminiscent of a Volvo with a caged back then the YSL originals which seem to me to capture a more dream-like garden feeling.
